A Little About Me

Hello, I’m Hande Ertan, a weaving artist from Brooklyn, New York. With over a decade of experience as a Production Manager for renowned fashion brands in Istanbul, including Victoria’s Secret, Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection, and Gap, I transitioned to artistic creations. My journey began in 2014 when I enrolled in Fashion and Costume Design at Parsons School of Design in New York.

During a visit to my grandmother’s home in Turkey, I discovered her vintage yarn stash, inspiring me to turn these treasures into modern weavings. Each piece I create has a unique story, from inspiration and sketching to design and color selection. What started as a post-school hobby evolved into my passion, leading to the establishment of DipDipLoom, my small weaving business.
